Our Identity
Madagascar, known as the Red Island, holds some of the world’s most valuable natural resources. Among them is mica , a mineral essential to modern technologies and the global energy transition. Yet unlike many other minerals, mica is largely produced through Artisanal and Small-scale Mining (ASM) . Across Madagascar, thousands of miners and families rely on this activity for their livelihoods.
Founded in 2023, RIMCO is a Malagasy company supported by Malagasy capital. We combine local knowledge, transparent and traceable operation aligned with international standards , to create long-term value for both global industries and Malagasy communities .
By 2028 , the company targets the export of 16,000 tons of mica per year, while progressively increasing the share of responsibly sourced production.
